Synopsis

Model Alison Parker (Cristina Raines) gets a great deal on a Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment -- but there's just one catch: It's also the gateway to Hell, and she's on the invite list. Universal's answer to The Exorcist features special makeup effects by Dick Smith and a stellar supporting cast: Chris Sarandon, Burgess Meredith, Jose Ferrer, Sylvia Miles, John Carradine, Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum, Ava Gardner and Tom Berenger.

Personal Thoughts

I hadn't seen the Sentinel in a good while ... gosh it's been years. I remembered it having parts that terrified me as a child, but what I didn't realize (until seeing it again) was just how much those very same parts still terrify me as an adult. Some of the horror movies of the 70's were just creepy, and this one's definitely no exception. The Sentinel is a solid, eerie, creepy movie that keeps you in suspense all the way till the very end.

The acting was good, the plot was good and strange, the ending was good, and the Priest in the window was downright freaky.

If you haven't seen this movie, it just may be a good one for you to check out!
