Synopsis
It's late evening the night before a local supermarket goes out of business, and the night crew is busy sweeping up. But things won't stay quiet for long: Register girl Jennifer (Renee Estevez) has an insane ex-boyfriend who's just been sprung from prison, and he's returned to win her back ... at any cost! Soon, the night crew starts dying one by one (talk about a checkout line!). Costars Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi. Scott Spiegel directs.

Personal Thoughts
Wow, what a blast from the past! To be honest, I'd completely forgotten about this movie. I stumbled upon a list of 80's slashers while browsing the internet, and ended up rediscovering this movie. Intruder (also called Night Crew and Final Checkout) is a very solid, underrated slasher, which I consider to be one of the last great ones of the 80's slasher era. (By the late 80's, good slashers were hard to come by).
The movie's about a group of people working the night shift at a local supermarket, who start being killed off one by one by a deranged psychopath ... pretty much your basic, typical slasher storyline. It starts good, and finishes strong, with a few nice twists in there as well. The acting isn't great, but it never is in these types of movies ... who watches slashers for the acting!
Make sure you've seen this one, if you're a fan of slashers.
