Diary of a Horror Fan...

... And thanks you for dropping by!

Hello All,

Welcome to "Diary of a Horror Fan" blog.

The sole purpose of this blog, is to function as my personal horror movie journal, providing me a place to log, and document EVERY scary movie I watch ... the good, the bad, and the ugly! Think of it as my very own horror movie database.

Over the years, I've watched a ton of horror movies (way too many to remember), but the objective here is to built a horror movie database (which I'll refer to as my "seen it" horror movie vault) from ground zero, counting only the movies that have been watched and reviewed on, or after April 1, 2011 (coinciding with the day I started this blog).

So the mission, or goal of this blog is simple ... watch as many scary movies as possible, while keeping a well documented, detailed record of everything I see!

Please visit The Mission tab (or the About tab) for more information about this blog.

For assistance with navigating the blog, please visit the Navigating The Blog sidebar link.

What Are Seen Its? - Provides information about the movie posts, movie lists, and movie database.

The Grading System - Details the movie rating system.

The Scary Movie Glossary Index - Serves as a guide to help interpret what I mean when I for instance, refer to a movie as being a slasher, psychological thriller, or supernatural thriller.

In an attempt to build the database faster, I've committed myself to watching a minimum of one horror movie a day. Though I'll always try to watch at least one, there will of course be days where I'll end up watching more than one. So be sure to check the "Seen its Movie Lists" regularly, so that you're up to date on the movies that have already been viewed.

If you have any questions, or would like to make a movie suggestion, feel free to contact me via the link below

This "Welcome Post" will remain at the top of the homepage ... please be sure to scroll down, or use the sidebar navigation utilities to view recent posts.

Thanks again, and enjoy!
